ASOS Fruity Beauty May 2020

May has been a great month for some of my favourite beauty boxes and ASOS was no exception. Just £12 (plus postage and packing if you don’t have their premier delivery) and with a fruity theme it’s the perfect pick me up during this quarantine.

The ASOS Fruity Beauty Box £12

As always each box comes with a handy little card explaining some of the products. All products included are available from ASOS and I love trying things out before I purchase them either full price or buy a full size.

Some suitably fruity colours and everything from lemon, black currant, watermelon and banana feature as part of the box, just have to remember not to eat them as they smell amazing!

Two full size products this time and three minis perfect for a pamper and to try things out.

Elemis, Ciate and Origins this month

First we have the Elemis Superfood Blackcurrant Jelly exfoliator to give your face a gentle scrub and a smooth complexion. I love Elemis products and this didn’t disappoint. It’s a really nice scrub with the most lovely scent and really gentle. Full size this is £28.

Next is the Ciate Watermelon Hydrating Primer to help your skin stay hydrated and help your makeup last longer. A really pretty looking product and it really does help hydrate, it actually contains hyaluronic acid along with witch hazel and niacinamide to soothe skin. It’s really light and has a fruity but not overpowering sweet smell. This made a really nice base for applying foundation and my make up lasted well. I would obviously like to see how it would hold up when we are out of lockdown on a night out! To purchase the full size this costs £24.

And finally we have Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask with avocado and glacier water from Switzerland (oooh !) I do like an overnight mask every now and then and this was really lovely to apply with a balm type texture. It actually has a scent sort of like citrus in particular lime to me which I liked. My skin looked really refreshed and healthy after using this. A full size of this is £22.

This Garnier hair food mask has been recommended by a few friends and I just never got round to trying it so I was pleased to see this in here! This is a full size product and is available to purchase for £7. It can be used as an intensive mask or you can use it as a leave in conditioner. I’ve got really thick hair and its prone to frizz and dryness so I love a good hair mask. This works really well and smells so good! I was worried the banana smell would be overpowering but it’s absolutely not, it’s a sweet banana smell than an intense one. I haven’t tried this as a leave in conditioner as yet but I would definitely repurchase as a mask because it’s a great sized product for the price.

Tony Moly Lemon Sheet Mask £5

I love a good face mask and they are usually a staple in these kind of boxes. This lemon mask from Tony Moly, a Korean skincare brand, is meant to brighten your skin with lemon oil and citrus extracts to give you a glow.

I’ve really enjoyed trying the products in this months box and between the sheet mask and hair mask alone the £12 I paid for the box was absolutely worth it. The ASOS box is released usually on the 1st or 2nd of the month and they are limited in stock. They are pretty popular and tend to sell out within a day so if you’re interested in grabbing one make sure you keep an eye on their website!
