It’s been so busy this month I realised I never got round to writing up about the ASOS June box. This is now sold out unfortunately but you can obviously buy individual products featured, some of them are definitely going to be repurchased by me!
If you’ve not had an ASOS beauty box before it’s a little different to a subscription box. You don’t sign up for automatic payments or anything like that. Just check the ASOS site on the 1st of each month and search the term ‘ beauty box’ to see the box. You can see the contents of the box before you purchase and they are usually £12 with the exception of some collaboration boxes they’ve done which have been £15-£18 and with brands like The Ordinary and Pixi Beauty.

So first up is the Frank Body A-Beauty scrub which is a coffee based scrub and smells amazing. I love scrubs like these as they are great for getting rid of those dead skin cells and for me perfect for helping get my skin smoother for applying treatments for my psoriasis. It’s perfect for prepping your skin for tanning applications.

Next is a mini size of Clinique Superdefense gel. This is a lovely texture and so light. I love that it has SPF 40 included too, definitely a bonus for keeping your skin at its best. With the recent heatwave this was perfect for giving an extra layer of SPF protection. I always use sunscreen in addition and wouldn’t recommend relying solely on products like these for sun protection but it’s definitely a good start. Because it’s so light and a gel formula, it didn’t feel greasy or sticky.

I really loved this Aloe soothing gel from Holika Holika, perfect for the hot weather we’ve had this week! It’s a really light non sticky formula in this cute bottle shaped like an aloe leaf! This absorbs really well and I would definitely repurchase this.

The St. Tropez’s Express Gel is a one-hour hydrating tan gel. It’s infused with hyaluronic acid to keep skin hydrated up to 72 hours, and a long-wear formula, up to 10 days. A Double Velvet Sided Applicator Mitt is included to evenly apply and keep hands stain free. This is not something I’ve tried yet, typically I’d only use tanner if my skin was really good as it tends to not look good on dry patches.

I have always really enjoyed Revolution makeup as it’s really affordable and also effective. Their powder highlighters are a fave of mine so it was great to be able to try the liquid formula. This is a really pigmented highlighter, a little goes a long way! You can layer it up nicely if you wanted and it would look beautiful over a tan.
Another great box from ASOS with everything you’d need for the summer. If you got this box let me know what your favourite item was.
