Glossybox November 2020

Makeup and Magic is the theme this month with glitter, shimmer and magic products to keep us looking glam this November. Even though we are locked down in the UK right now it’s a fab time to play around with new looks and I love when my subscription boxes arrive each month!

Makeup and Magic Glossybox November 2020

First we have a beautiful eyeshadow palette from L.A Splash which fits perfectly with the magic theme right down to the packaging. There are 8 shades in the palette 3 shimmers and 5 mattes. They are a lovely autumnal mix of shades and are really highly pigmented. This is my standout product from the box and one I know I will get a lot of use from. This is a full size and it will be perfect for if we ever get back to travelling as it’s also got a little mirror included.

Paired perfectly with the eyeshadow palette is the Spectrum blender brush. I really love getting nice brushes and I’ve built up a good collection now from these boxes! This is perfect for working shadow into the crease of your eye and matches the colour scheme of the palette with gold and black.

Next up is a Que Bella mask and this one is Moonstone Recharge and Restore Glitter Mask. We had one of these in a box previously but I got a gold one so I’m pleased to get a different one. This one is designed to give you radiant glowing skin and help your skin feel brighter. I love the little bits of shimmer in it too makes it feel so cute!

Que Bella Professional Purple Moonstone Glitter Gel Mask £2.49

The next item is a replacement, it was meant to be a Mudmasky Autumn Mask but instead we have been given Generation Clay Ultra-Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask, worth £19.50. I know I’ve complained about product changes before but I am not bothered about this one, mainly because it’s a similar product and it’s a relatively similar price. It’s a brightening purple clay mask with Australian Davidson plum (a natural super fruit that gently acts like an exfoliating acid), it will transform your appearance by rejuvenating dull, tired skin, and lightening dark circles and pigmentation. Definitely everything I’d want in a face mask!

Generation Clay Brightening Purple Clay Mask £19.50

Lastly a favourite of mine and a regular in beauty boxes Hask Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner. I really love these masks as my hair has a tendency to get really dry and frizzy. The Argan oil one is a favourite, firstly it smells incredible and secondly it only takes 10 minutes to work which means you can apply in the shower. I usually pick these up on my weekly shop as they are available in most supermarkets and pharmacies.

Hask Argan Oil Deep Conditioner £2

Decembers sneak peek is is an Overnight Eye Serum by Symbiosis, eye serums and creams are always a welcome addition for me and I love to try new ones so I am looking forward to that.

Decembers sneak peek worth £102 !

If you got this months box what did you think? My favourite item is definitely the eyeshadow and brush! I will definitely get use out of everything as I really love my face masks and hair masks!

Total value of this months box is £60.98 which is so great and especially as I know I will get so much use out of everything. I said last months box was my favourite of the year but I think this is a hot contender! I have a yearly subscription to Glossybox which costs 11.75 per month including postage and packaging. There are loads of different options if you wanted to sign up from a monthly rolling subscription to 3, 6 and 12 month plans like the one I do. I do have a referral code if you click here which will get you 20% off your first box.

Glossybox Enchanted Spirit October 2020

October’s Glossybox is always a fab one and for once 2020 hasn’t disappointed us! 5 items in this gorgeous Enchanted Spirit themed box which I will definitely be keeping!

There were two versions of the box this month, Enchanted Spirit and Midnight Fantasy with little difference between the two apart from some shade and scent variations. Both boxes are designed beautifully to give you all the lotions and potions you need to transform this October, perfect for the spooky Halloween season!

First we have AHC Essential Eye Cream for Face. I was a little confused by the name of this and on reading the card it’s described as, “a face cream with all the benefits of a concentrated eye cream” It makes more sense on reading that which means it can just be used as an eye cream or you can use it all over the face in a thin layer for an extra moisture boost. This is a deluxe mini and worth £8.66. It’s a gel texture which I really like for a nightcream / eye cream and feels really nice on my skin. Will see what the effects are in the coming weeks!

Next is BubbleT with a Stardust foaming bath powder in Lavender. The Midnight Fantasy Box would have the rose scent. I’m so pleased I got the lavender one as I really don’t like strong rose scents ! This bubbles up so nicely in the bath and is a lovely calming scent before bed so definitely a winner! This is a full size worth £5.99.

Luna by Luna lipstick in the shade Pixie is our next product and it’s a really pretty red. I do love a nice red colour for the autumn months and this has a nice pink tone to it. This is full size and worth £15. It feels really nice on the lips and is pretty smooth to apply.

I haven’t tried this next product before and it has rave reviews so I’m excited to try the Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer. This is a deluxe mini worth £10 and it’s billed as a part hydrator part primer. This feels really nice on the skin and has a clear gel texture, reminds me of the Smashbox Photo Finish primer. This is perfect for the colder weather as it says it works to maintain hydration in your skin.

Next is The Beauty Crop Stargazing blush duo in the shade Orion which has a bronze and a coral shade. I love that there are two shades in the compact, one matte and one with a light shimmer. You can wear them alone or layer the matte with the shimmer for a nice glow, they are really nicely pigmented. I will definitely get a lot of use out of this as I’ve just come to the end of a similar blush. This is a full size and is worth £18.

Last of all we had another little chocolate treat in the form of a Cadbury’s Dark Milk sample. If you’ve not tried Dark Milk before it’s meant to be a mix of dark and milk chocolate and it’s actually a favourite of mine. In my opinion it’s like a richer version of Dairy Milk and a less bitter version of a traditional dark chocolate. I love when we get little extras like this in the box!

Total value of this months box is £57.65 which is really great and especially as I know I will get so much use out of everything. It may well be one of my favourites from Glossybox this year! I have a yearly subscription to Glossybox which costs 11.75 per month. There are loads of different options if you wanted to sign up from a monthly rolling subscription to 3, 6 and 12 month plans like the one I do. I do have a referral code if you click here which will get you 20% off your first box.

The sneak peek for November looks exciting as it’s a eyeshadow palette from LASplash worth £29. It looks like a nice mix of autumn colours and having had a few products of theirs before I know they are really good.

Did you get this months Glossybox ? What did you think of the products this month?

Glossybox GlossySpa Box September 2020

This month Glossybox are bringing the spa to our homes with a skincare focused box to give the ultimate relaxation.

First is the sneak peek from last month, Avant hyaluronic Moisturiser. Avant has popped up in a few beauty boxes lately and I’m not mad about it! I absolutely love their products especially the moisturisers which are so nourishing and rich. It’s really expensive, £89!and it is definitely a product I really enjoy. It has avocado oils as well for a really hydrating formula.

Avant Supreme Hyaluronic Acid Anti-oxidising Duo Moisturiser £89

Next is a Mine Tan exfoliating coffee scrub, this is a sample size. I’ve talked before about how much I love my tea scrub so I was looking forward to trying this out! It was similar to one I received in an ASOS box in the summer from Frank Body and really great for my skin helping my get all the flaky skin from my psoriasis off without scratching or hurting my sore skin. Slight difference with this compared to others is you use the scrub on wet skin in the shower and then leave it for about five minutes to dry before rinsing. As always with these type of scrubs m, prepare for some mess! And make sure you really rinse the shower tray as it can stain if you don’t!

Deluxe Mini size Minetan Coffee Scrub £11

Next is the Yo Glow Enzyme scrub by Wishful which is the skincare line by Huda Kattan, founder of Huda Beauty. This is a mini size and it seems really nice. It’s always interesting when makeup lines expand into skincare as sometimes it doesn’t always work. This is really nice and has made me think I might look into other products from the range. It’s a face scrub with pineapple and papaya enzymes and my skin felt so smooth afterward.

Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme scrub £9 (Full size £34)

There was a variation in some boxes and I got the eye gels from Generation Skin. I love eye mask/ gels like these as I have really bad dark circles so these are fab to up my hydration and sort out any puffiness. They have an Australian ingredient called Kaduku Plum which has antioxidants and Vitamin C to help brighten the under eye area. Fab for a bit of relaxation!

Generation Skin Eye Patches £7.84 for 1 pair

Finally I got a Imperial Leather Foamburst shower gel, I got a sample of one of these last year and I really like them. They foam up in the shower – similar to shaving gel , and the scent is amazing. This is actually the one I buy ( along with the unicorn scent!) so I’m really pleased! They are also really moisturising so perfect if you have dry or sensitive skin like me.

Imperial Leather Foamburst Body Wash £2

As an extra treat this month there’s a Lindt Lindor chocolate bar included which will go down well I am sure with the subscribers! Lindt is one of my favourite chocolates and I’ve already bought us a tin of the new Lindor chocolates ready for Christmas! But as I was feeling extra nice I let my hubby have this as he had been feeling under the weather and had hurt his foot so I did a good deed!

Lindt Lindor Chocolate bar 85p

I was really pleased with this months box, perfect for a mini pamper at home. My faves from this box have to be the Wishful face scrub, Avant moisturiser and the Generation Skin eyegels. The total value of this months box was £119.69 which is amazing and definitely worth the monthly fee.

I have a yearly subscription with Glossybox and pay £11.75 inc postage and packaging for my box each month. Glossybox has lots of options for subscribing which you can view on their website

Glossybox Birthday Edition August 2020

A late dispatch again from Glossybox but thankfully no exchanged products this time. This box is birthday themed in honour of Glossyboxes 9th birthday and was packaged with this lovely box and bow.

First is the Glossybox Eye Boost Cream which is part of their new skincare range. This feels really nice and absorbs well, it definitely helps with puffiness but I will have to try it a bit longer to see if it can sort dark circles as it claims!

Glossybox Eye Boost Cream Subscriber price £16 RRP £20

Next is the highlight product of this month a Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick. There were 10 different shades and I got a really nice taupe brown nude. This is a really nice satin finish and it glides on so nicely. It’s really pigmented too and I love the formula. The staying power isn’t too bad and with the lipliner in this box it doesn’t bleed.

Huda Beauty Demi Matte Liquid Lipstick in Revolutionnaire £18

A staple of anyone’s makeup bag is a makeup sponge and this one is from HD Wonder. Not a great deal to say on this but it’s a nice tool to get to use everyday. I love these and like to apply my foundation and loose powders with these.

HD Wonder Complexion Sponge £5.49

I really love a nicely scented shower gel and this one from Molton Brown is gorgeous. I was worried when it said Rhubarb and Rose as I’m not keen on strong rose scents but I can’t really get the Rose notes in this. It’s a really sweet rhubarb smell and is lovely either in the bath or shower. Molton Brown is a brand I’ve always liked in particular the ginger lily and pink peppercorn scents are my fave but this is a close second.

Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb & Rose Bath and Shower Gel £7.33 Deluxe mini size

Last but not least we have a lip liner by Steve Laurant. This is a brand I’ve seen a lot in beauty boxes and I do like their products. The colour is called Vogue and it’s a waterproof liner and stays put for up to 7 hours. This works really well with the Huda lipstick included in the box and it really does have good staying power – although I can’t say I’ve tested it for 7 hours!

Steve Laurant Vogue Lip Liner £12.09

This months box value is £58.91 which is great value again and this month is all products I will use. My standouts are the Huda and Steve Laurant for sure and I know I will use them a lot.

Swatches of the Huda Lipstick (top) and Steve Laurant Lipliner (bottom)
The full box contents £11.75 on the 12 monthly plan

The sneek peek for September is an Avant Moisturiser worth £89, I’ve had a few of their products before and they are really good.

Coming up in September is the release of the Advent Calendar. This is £80 for subscribers and released on the 8th September with brands like Huda, iconic and LimeCrime included so I am looking forward to that as last years was amazing and I really enjoyed it.

I’m hoping some of the issues Glossybox have had are going to be ironed out now as although this box was later than usual they did communicate much better about the issues they had and there were no product changes.

Glossybox July 2020

As the saying goes “Better late than never”

The Aloha July Glossybox

So for the first time in my subscription with Glossybox I had issues! I was really disappointed to not get my box until the end of July, almost when the month was out. The late dispatch was caused due to a product change, as the sneek peek from last month was no longer available and had been switched to an Eyeko mascara. Although I was annoyed at the change at first I was actually kind of pleased in the end as so many people were not fans of the Palm Balm product so I didn’t feel I missed out!

Naturally the issues with replacement products and late dispatches made a lot of people really upset, although again it’s the first time this happened to me. It seems the problem lies in the way Glossybox communicates with their customers and not being transparent when there are issues. Particularly it was annoying to see posts from new customers who got their box exactly as advertised and regular long term subscribers got replacement items. Subsequently it then becomes a major issue when really it doesn’t need to be! I’m hoping I don’t have the same issues this month as other subscribers have made mention that they’ve experienced problems for a few months… we shall see what happens with the August box. Anyway here’s my thoughts for the July Aloha box.

Give them LaLa Bronzer in the shade Ibiza £19

I’m a massive Bravo fan and one of my favourite shows is Vanderpump Rules so I knew this was LaLa Kent’s beauty brand. I’d not tried any of her stuff before and I didn’t realise she had branches into bronzers and other products as I thought she had focused mainly on lips. The bronzer came in the shade Ibiza and is described on her website as a milk chocolate shade perfect for a natural contour. It does have a slight shimmer to it which looks really nice when it’s on and it has a really blendable texture so I think it would work nicely for contouring. Its not too pricey for a bronzer but if you were ordering from the US then you do have to take into account shipping and potentially customs charges.

Kocostar Slice Mask Sheet in Strawberry £5

This was a cute addition to the box and something a little different than the usual face mask! Made up of 12 ‘slices’ of strawberry this was a moisturising face mask with the idea being you can place the slices on areas you need to target the most. I thought this was such a fun idea and I really liked it. It smelled really nice and looked really cute!

Jecca Blac Glowdrops in Rose Pearl £16

The stand out product from this box is the Jecca Blac highlighting primer. At first glance this looked so pigmented and I was worried I’d look like I fell in some glitter ! However it blends out really nicely and works just as well under makeup as it does on bare skin. You just apply to the whole face, you don’t need a lot, and then put on your foundation and usual makeup. You can also apply and just blend over bare skin and it gives a nice sheen. There are also suggestions of using it on top of your makeup to give a highlight. I really like products where you can get multiple uses as it just feels like better value.

Naobay Orange Juice Handcream £11.50

This is a really lovely handcream with Shea butter and blends Orange Juice, Chamomile and Aloe Vera. I’ve used this everyday since I got it, I’m definitely moisturising my hands more often due to Covid and all the hand washing / antibacterial gels we are now using so this was a great item for me to receive.

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara Deluxe Mini £9.50

This is the replacement item for the Palm Balm which was last months sneek peek. I know lots of people aren’t fans of Eyeko mascara but I really like this waterproof formula. It’s been great for the warmer weather for avoiding that panda eye!

I’m glad in the end that my box arrived and I’m just hoping it’s not going to be an ongoing issue that items are missing or arriving so late. Once again even with the item change it was great value for money and everything was an item I would use so I was pleased with that.

The August edition of Glossybox UK has now sold out so if you sign up now you’d be getting the September box. I’m looking forward to August as it’s a birthday theme and includes an item from the new Glossybox skincare range as well as a Huda Beauty lipstick.

Note: at the time of writing I have received an email stating that my August box will be dispatched late and I should expect it not to arrive before 17th August. Not happy about this but will update you on my August review as to whether the box arrives as described…..

Glossybox June 2020

Beauty around the World is this months theme with products from different countries inspiring the choices. I have a 12 month subscription with Glossybox which costs me £11.75 per month including postage and packaging. There are lots of subscription plans on their website so you can choose one to suit you!

Five full sized items with everything from cleansing to skincare as well as makeup this month making it a really good selection.

Huda Beauty Life-Liner Eyeliner £18

Sneak peek from last month was this lovely Huda Beauty eyeliner. Huda Beauty is founded by Iraqi-American Huda Kattan and this range is always on point! Huda products are renowned by their staying power and this eyeliner doesn’t disappoint. It’s a dual ended eyeliner with liquid liner on one side and a pencil formula on the other.

Makeup removing cloths The Vintage Cosmetics Company £7.99 for two

These Vintage cosmetics company face cloths in zebra print are so amazingly soft! They are eco-friendly and reusable and you get two in the box. I really like these, I got a different brand last month in another box and they really make a difference to my cleansing routine making my skin feel smoother. This is a british brand who are inspired by the style of the 1950’s.

Beauty Pro Global Potato and Parsley Under Eye Mask £5.95

British brand Beauty Pro is included with these under eye masks that use potato and parsley- not ingredients I would think of for an eye mask! These claim to help reduce dark circles, depuff and hydrate. I do love a good eye mask though and one that can reduce dark shadows is always welcome!

Model Co Liquid Metal Eyeshadow £15

Model Co is an Australian brand and we had a lipstick from their range in a previous box this year. I was never really a fan of liquid eyeshadow previously but after getting a Bella Pierre one in a previous box I realised the formulas have come a long way since my teens! This is a really lovely pigmented shade with a nice sparkle. It would work really well as a base for other shadows or equally for a quick look just sweep across the whole eyelid with a nice liner.

LA Splash Eyeshadow brush set £15

Hollywood glam is all about glitz and glamour and LA Splash is a company founded in the great city! I’ve been working on getting myself better makeup brushes and these have come at a perfect time for me! They are really good quality brushes and a fab set for starting out with different eye makeup looks. I really like defining brushes for adding an eyeliner effect to my shadow so I know I’ll get a lot of use out of these. It’s amazing what difference quality brushes use in applying your makeup too .

In total this month the value of the box is £61.94. I really like this months box it’s got a great selection of products and is really good value for money! My favourites have to be the Huda liner, the brush set and the cloths. It’s always good to get things that add to your makeup collection!

Julys sneak peek is a multitasking lip and cheek balm from The Beauty Crop and promises to give you a rosy complexion. The box is tropical themed which will be a fab theme for all of us dreaming of sunnier climes!

If you got this months box what was your favourite item?

Wild thing! Glossybox May 2020

If like me you’ve been sucked into the Tiger King docuseries on Netflix you’ll know that this beauty box could have been designed with Carole Baskin in mind! There’s been lots of change during the past 7 weeks but I’m so thankful that some of the little things that can brighten your day have been able to continue like Glossybox. For May their theme is exploring your wild side, with two special edition boxes in Leopard and Zebra print and a range of makeup, haircare and skincare to try out!

If you don’t know about Glossybox, it’s a beauty box subscription where you are sent 5 items each month. You can subscribe for various amounts of time or purchase a one-off box.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans or one off boxes.

Stargazer Glitter Eye Pencil RRP £2

First up was the Stargazer Glitter eyeliner pencil. The colour I was sent was violet which is a really bold colour with a bit of glitter scattered in. I really wasn’t sure about this as it felt a bit like something I would have tried when I was about 12. However! I did line my eyes with it and completely changed my mind, it was a lovely colour, not as bold when applied, but blends out nicely and I think with the right eyeshadow will look really nice. I’ve also seen a few people applying theirs over black eyeliner for a subtle glitter look and I do think that’s something I will try.

Vitamasques Bamboo Charcoal sheet mask RRP £3.99

So in a change to the advertised product, we were meant to get an OhK! Printed mask,my box contained a Vitamasques Bamboo Charcoal Sheet Mask. I’m guessing this might have something to do with the current pandemic situation and to be honest I don’t mind. The mask contains a detoxifying and pore tightening action to banish breakouts and eliminate excess oils according to their website.

It Is designed for stressed out skin and, lets face it, I think we’ve all experienced some stress the past 7 weeks!

I used this at the weekend and I really enjoyed it. I left it on for the full 20 mins (recommended between 10 and 20 mins to leave on) and my skin felt amazing. Usually when I use face masks like these I feel like the serum it’s coated in is dripping all over and this wasn’t , to me it was almost a gel style which meant it wasn’t sliding off all the time. Would definitely purchase this again as I think for £3.99 it’s a bargain.

Mudmasky Hair Mask, Scalp treatment and Miracle Shampoo RRP £21

Next is the Mudmasky Hair mask, Scalp treatment and Miracle Shampoo to help with dry, damaged and frizzy hair. Let’s see I check all of the above ! And given that my hair hasn’t seen a hairdresser since February, I was due an appointment the day of lockdown, I was excited to try this.

I am pleased to say it doesn’t disappoint. You apply like regular shampoo, leather and then leave it on your scalp for a minute before rinsing. It contains Moroccan argan oil, Moroccan mud and claims to strengthen and repair your hair. I could really feel a difference after the treatment and as someone with a sensitive scalp due to my psoriasis I was really pleased with this product.

Steve Laurent Eyeshadow Palette RRP £31

The star product of this box, which was the sneak peek last month, is the Steve Laurent eyeshadow palette which came in a cute leopard print box. The palette is a really good mix of neutrals with nine shades in all. With mattes and shimmers I think there will be a lot of use for me from this as you can do everything from day to night looks. The shades blend out nicely and the pigment is good.

The last item is an EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint. We did get a lip balm in last months box but I really don’t mind getting another one as I use these a lot! This smells amazing and the mint is not overpowering. A nice basic to have and use regularly.

The contents of this months box are worth £64.49 , so definitely worth the monthly subscription fee! So lastly on to the sneak peek for the June box! This was pretty exciting as it’s a Huda Beauty dual ended eyeliner with a liquid liner on one side and pencil on the other. This is worth £18 and fits with the theme of beauty beyond borders so an international beauty theme. Very much looking forward to this !

June’s sneak peek

If you want to sign up to Glossybox you can visit their website http://www.glossybox.co.uk or you can use my referral link here and receive a discount of 20% on your first box.

Hope you enjoyed reading about this months box, would love to know if you’ve tried any of the products from this month !

Glossybox April 2020

In the midst of these strange times and pandemic one thing remained the same…. Glossybox!

The Blossom themed April Glossybox

Packed with 5 beauty products with a very spring like feel, this box was the perfect pick me up and definitely brought a smile to my face.

First up in the box is one of the staple items often received in Glossyboxes, a Hask Hair Mask. I really love these masks as my hair gets incredibly dry and frizzy so I go through a lot of conditioning treatments to keep it healthy. Hask is a really affordable brand, one of these masks costs £2.49, and really makes a difference to the look and feel of my hair. Plus this one smells amazing with the peach and rose!

Nails Inc polish in Blossom

I love a good nail polish, especially a pink! Nails Inc is one of my favourite brands for staying power and this formula says it will last up to 10 days. It’s a perfect pink for spring and summer and this has an RRP of £11.

SportFX lip balm in coconut scent

This lip balm reminds me of the eos balms and the coconut smell is gorgeous, kinda reminds me of being on holiday! It’s a really good moisturiser and has an SPF of 15 so perfect for offering some sun protection. This is £4.99 to purchase separately.

Avant Face Exfoliant

The sneak peek from last month was this Avant face exfoliant which retails at £92! Avant is one of my favourite brands for skincare and they have such gentle but effective products. This face exfoliating scrub contains rose and is designed to calm irritation and help improve wrinkles. I’ve really enjoyed using this so far and it’s giving me a great base for applying makeup and has really helped with my skin which has flared due to the stress of the current pandemic.

The final product in my April box was a Rituals shower scrub in a cherry blossom scent. This is perfect for me at the moment as I’m struggling as I mentioned with a flare up of my Psoriasis. Gentle scrubs like this are great for helping get rid of any flaky patches and helping my emoillent creams sink in. Rituals products are one of my favourites and I actually had the body cream in this range for Christmas. This size is deluxe mini and is priced at £4.60. The full sized product is £9.90.

Altogether the products in this box totalled £115.08 ! I have a 12 month subscription with Glossybox which costs me £11.75 per month including postage and packaging. There are lots of subscription plans on their website so you can choose one to suit you!

Next month the sneak peek is an eyeshadow palette from Steve Laurent and looks like a nice range of neutrals.

If you subscribe now you’ll be signing up for the May box while stocks last !

Glossybox March 2020 All eyes on me

The latest Glossybox has arrived and it’s a goodie with some gorgeous makeup treats to see me through the month. If you don’t know about Glossybox, it’s a beauty box subscription where you are sent 5 items each month. You can subscribe for various amounts of time or purchase a one-off box.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans

First up it’s an MCo Beauty Long Lasting lipstick, we’ve had MCo products before and I really like them as a brand. The lipstick is a nude shade called Flawless with a matte finish. It’s definitely a shade I would choose and has a non drying feel which is rare for a matte formula. It’s not particularly long lasting in my opinion but I generally find that traditional lipstick never lasts as long as liquid mattes. This is worth £15 and I’d definitely purchase it again because of the colour.

Next we have Ciate London’s Stamp and Drag eyeliner. This is actually one of my favourite products from Ciate and I’ve purchased this before. The idea with this is you get a wing shaped stamp to help you with doing a perfect flick and then you can frame round the eyes with the pointed felt tip style. I’ve never been great with eyeliner and this has helped me massively. It’s really long lasting and stays Jet Black all day. This is £15 to purchase from Ciates website.

Who doesn’t love a good highlighter ? The next product is a Sleek highlighter palette in Copperplate. A beautiful mix of colours that blend nicely and aren’t heavy when applied. It’s an all powder palette and I think this will be gorgeous for spring and summer when the nicer weather starts. This is £9.99 RRP.

Also included is an Eyeko mascara which comes in a fun tube like toothpaste! The curved brush is designed to give volume and I’m looking forward to seeing what this formula is like. My go to has been the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara so I’m interested to try something new. This is a deluxe mini size and is worth £10.

Lastly a toothpaste from Whiteglo. This is probably my least favourite product in the box, it’s not particularly exciting to get a toothpaste but it will be used and as it’s mini sized is perfect for my washbag while travelling. This is again a deluxe mini and worth £1.05

In total this months box has a value of £51.04 so great value, and all of the products are something I will use. Despite the toothpaste not being my favourite item to receive in a beauty box!

The April sneak peek is an Avant Exfoliating Cleanser which I am really looking forward to. We’ve had quite a few Avant products, including primer and moisturiser in Glossybox over the past year and they are a really great skincare brand.

Glossybox February 2020

So this months box is all about lurrrve 💓 Specifically Love Crosses Borders which I really liked the idea of, with products from all around the world. Also this box was the same for subscribers in different countries so I believe Germany and the Netherlands subscribers received the same items.

The sneak peek in January’s box was of Figs and Rouges Wonder Love Charm Glow Elixir. A super shimmery product designed to give you a glow like no other! This can be applied under makeup or can be worn on natural skin for a brightening effect.

Worth £35, its packed with A, C and E vitamins, hyaluronic acid, minerals, rose water and rose quartz, hydrates your skin and gives you a glow. This is lovely mixed with your usual foundation for a subtle glow or dotted on as a highlighter after you’ve applied foundation.

There’s a lip focus in this Valentines box with a mask all the way from Korea. Korean skincare has been such a huge trend over the last year or so and I love all the different kinds of masks you get to try with Glossybox so this is a winner for me. Plus you have to keep it on for 15-20 mins which means I won’t be talking so it makes a win for Phil too! This did make my lips feel super hydrated, given it’s still cold and wintery it’s a welcome treat! This is a deluxe mini and is worth £4.25, if you buy the full size product you receive 6 masks in the box.

Next up is a duo of lip liners from American brand Saint Luxe in pink and red shades. They are billed as a luxury brand which creates long lasting, cruelty free products. The red is a strong colour and I have a few lipsticks and glosses that will work with it. The pink is a lovely soft colour which pairs perfectly with the next product in the box. These are £23 for the duo available from saint luxe beauty.com

Another American product included from Floss Beauty is this dusky pink lip gloss. It’s a semi sheer formula and mine pairs perfectly with the pink liner in my box. The packaging is really cute too and it has a pretty long lasting effect. This is £12.30 to purchase from floss it up.com

Final product in this months box is the Glossybox lip liner brush. I’ve been slowly replacing some of my older brushes for nice new ones so this is perfect for me! This is £5.10 to purchase from the Glossybox website.

There was a nice surprise for regular subscribers in the form of a perfume sample from Glossier. I really liked this, it’s very fresh and light perfect for an everyday perfume. It’s out of stock at the time of writing this and I’m keeping an eye on when it’s restocked!

In total the box is worth an amazing £79.65 making it fantastic value for money.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans

Would love to know if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think!
