Glossybox x Zoeva Cosmetics

It’s been a little while since I got one of the limited edition Glossyboxes and for some reason this one with Zoeva caught my eye. Zoeva are famous for their makeup brushes which are hand made and as I’ve been trying to build a good stock of quality brushes this was a no brainer for me. In total there are six products with everything you need for a full makeup look with a value of £85!

First is the Cocoa blend eyeshadow palette this actually looks like a chocolate bar and the shades inside are inspired by chocolate including the names. It’s a beautiful palette that blends so well as the shades are buttery smooth. It’s a fab palette for autumn colours and one I will really enjoy using.

Cocoa blend eyeshadow palette £21

Next is the Voyager Travel Brush set which has four brushes in a travel roll, perfect for popping in your suitcase if we ever get to travel anywhere! There’s a concealer buffer, crease blush for blending eyeshadow, shader for smokey effects and a brow brush. It’s a fab little set and would be ideal for anyone just starting to use proper makeup or to boost your brush collection like mine.

Voyager Travel Brush Set £22

Also included is the eyeshadow fix matte primer to help your eyeshadow stay put and create a canvas for your looks. I really liked this as it helps prevent creasing and it’s so simple to use. You just dab onto your eyelid and wait for it to set before applying your eyeshadow as usual.

Eyeshadow Fix (Matte) £9

The Pure Matte Lips in the shade Dare to Dream is not a shade I’d normally go for. But it’s really nice when it’s applied, a pretty matte pink. It’s a lovely formula for a matte lipstick and reminds me of the Huda Beauty mattes which aren’t drying but are still long lasting. Given that it looks like face masks will be a staple in our lives for quite some time yet long lasting lipsticks are the way forward!

Pure Matte Lips Dare to Dream £11

A highlighter is a must for cheering up your look right now and the strobe gel doesn’t disappoint! The shade is called Nova and it literally looks like a jelly of melted gold shimmer, mesmerising ! It has a pearlescent glow to it and creates a lovely dewy effect on the skin. You only need a tiny bit for a sheer glow but you could easily make it more intense and build it up. As with most highlighters the recommendation is to apply to the cheekbones, brow bones , Cupid’s bow and bridge of the nose.

Strobe Gel – Nova £13

Graphic eyes+ in the shade Black to Earth is the last product in this box and it’s a eye pencil which is really smooth to apply. It blends out nicely so I think you could also do a nice smokey eye with it as well. It also says it’s waterproof which I haven’t seen before in a pencil like this.

Graphic eyes+ in the shade Black to Earth £9

I’m so pleased with the box as it’s great value and I really like that aside from your foundation and mascara you have everything you need to do a full face. My standouts have to be the the eyeshadow palette and the highlighter, I’m a sucker for anything shimmery and pretty!

As always would love to hear your thoughts on this and if you’ve tried any of the products . This is still available via the Glossybox website and is priced at £25 for subscribers and £30 for non subscribers.

Lookfantastic Birthday Box September 2020

Lookfantastic are celebrating 6 years in business so this box had a birthday theme to the packaging which is really cute. There are 6 items this month and a little extra item.

Septembers Lookfantastic box £15 inc postage and packing

First is an Illamasqua mini highlighter, this is a really pretty champagne colour and gives nice buildable shimmer. They gave some application tips including applying with a wet brush for a more dramatic look or just using a regular brush dry for more subtle look.

Mini OMG Highlighter £10

Next is Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This was our sneek peek last month and is one of the stand out products from Elemis that everyone raves about. Personally I find this really rich to use as a day cream, I prefer to use it at night. It’s a really nice texture and a little goes a long way. £30 for 15 ml

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream £30 for 15ml

I love a good lip pencil and this Diego Dalla Palma one is a lovely shade called antique rose. Worth £9.32 and with a matte finish it says it will last for hours to keep your lip colour in place.

Diego Dalla Palma lip pencil in the shade antique rose £9.32

There were two potential products you could get from ESPA this month and I was so pleased with the one I got! I got the Pink Hair and Scalp Mud, which is an amazing hair treatment that deep conditions. I’ve been lucky enough to have this treatment quite a while back when I had a massage and it’s a really great product.

ESPA Pink Hair and Scalp Mud

Next is a Luxie Large Shader Brush worth £15. I think I’ve mentioned a few times lately I’ve been trying to upgrade and replace some of my existing makeup brushes so this is perfect for me.

Luxie Large Shader Brush £15

Finally another item I’ve wanted to try for a long time, a Brushworks Jade Roller which is £9.99 to purchase. Jade rollers can help relieve the puffiness in your face and massage in serums, moisturisers ect. This will be fab to have a little pretend spa time with so I am looking forward to trying it out.

Brushworks Jade Roller £9.99

As a cute little extra there was also a Lookfantastic pop socket for your phone included which is always handy!

I’m really pleased with everything this month some great new beauty tools and products to try out and a nice mix of haircare, skincare and makeup.

Lookfantastic have a range of subscriptions available here . I’m currently subscribed on a monthly basis and pay £15 inc postage and packaging for my box. In each booklet included there is a sneak peek of a product for the following month and this time it’s a Lip balm from BYTerry which will be perfect for the cooler weather to avoid getting dry lips!

October’s sneak peek is a ByTerry lip balm worth £14

Would love to know what you think of this months box or if you’ve tried any of these products before.

Glossybox Birthday Edition August 2020

A late dispatch again from Glossybox but thankfully no exchanged products this time. This box is birthday themed in honour of Glossyboxes 9th birthday and was packaged with this lovely box and bow.

First is the Glossybox Eye Boost Cream which is part of their new skincare range. This feels really nice and absorbs well, it definitely helps with puffiness but I will have to try it a bit longer to see if it can sort dark circles as it claims!

Glossybox Eye Boost Cream Subscriber price £16 RRP £20

Next is the highlight product of this month a Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick. There were 10 different shades and I got a really nice taupe brown nude. This is a really nice satin finish and it glides on so nicely. It’s really pigmented too and I love the formula. The staying power isn’t too bad and with the lipliner in this box it doesn’t bleed.

Huda Beauty Demi Matte Liquid Lipstick in Revolutionnaire £18

A staple of anyone’s makeup bag is a makeup sponge and this one is from HD Wonder. Not a great deal to say on this but it’s a nice tool to get to use everyday. I love these and like to apply my foundation and loose powders with these.

HD Wonder Complexion Sponge £5.49

I really love a nicely scented shower gel and this one from Molton Brown is gorgeous. I was worried when it said Rhubarb and Rose as I’m not keen on strong rose scents but I can’t really get the Rose notes in this. It’s a really sweet rhubarb smell and is lovely either in the bath or shower. Molton Brown is a brand I’ve always liked in particular the ginger lily and pink peppercorn scents are my fave but this is a close second.

Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb & Rose Bath and Shower Gel £7.33 Deluxe mini size

Last but not least we have a lip liner by Steve Laurant. This is a brand I’ve seen a lot in beauty boxes and I do like their products. The colour is called Vogue and it’s a waterproof liner and stays put for up to 7 hours. This works really well with the Huda lipstick included in the box and it really does have good staying power – although I can’t say I’ve tested it for 7 hours!

Steve Laurant Vogue Lip Liner £12.09

This months box value is £58.91 which is great value again and this month is all products I will use. My standouts are the Huda and Steve Laurant for sure and I know I will use them a lot.

Swatches of the Huda Lipstick (top) and Steve Laurant Lipliner (bottom)
The full box contents £11.75 on the 12 monthly plan

The sneek peek for September is an Avant Moisturiser worth £89, I’ve had a few of their products before and they are really good.

Coming up in September is the release of the Advent Calendar. This is £80 for subscribers and released on the 8th September with brands like Huda, iconic and LimeCrime included so I am looking forward to that as last years was amazing and I really enjoyed it.

I’m hoping some of the issues Glossybox have had are going to be ironed out now as although this box was later than usual they did communicate much better about the issues they had and there were no product changes.

Glossybox July 2020

As the saying goes “Better late than never”

The Aloha July Glossybox

So for the first time in my subscription with Glossybox I had issues! I was really disappointed to not get my box until the end of July, almost when the month was out. The late dispatch was caused due to a product change, as the sneek peek from last month was no longer available and had been switched to an Eyeko mascara. Although I was annoyed at the change at first I was actually kind of pleased in the end as so many people were not fans of the Palm Balm product so I didn’t feel I missed out!

Naturally the issues with replacement products and late dispatches made a lot of people really upset, although again it’s the first time this happened to me. It seems the problem lies in the way Glossybox communicates with their customers and not being transparent when there are issues. Particularly it was annoying to see posts from new customers who got their box exactly as advertised and regular long term subscribers got replacement items. Subsequently it then becomes a major issue when really it doesn’t need to be! I’m hoping I don’t have the same issues this month as other subscribers have made mention that they’ve experienced problems for a few months… we shall see what happens with the August box. Anyway here’s my thoughts for the July Aloha box.

Give them LaLa Bronzer in the shade Ibiza £19

I’m a massive Bravo fan and one of my favourite shows is Vanderpump Rules so I knew this was LaLa Kent’s beauty brand. I’d not tried any of her stuff before and I didn’t realise she had branches into bronzers and other products as I thought she had focused mainly on lips. The bronzer came in the shade Ibiza and is described on her website as a milk chocolate shade perfect for a natural contour. It does have a slight shimmer to it which looks really nice when it’s on and it has a really blendable texture so I think it would work nicely for contouring. Its not too pricey for a bronzer but if you were ordering from the US then you do have to take into account shipping and potentially customs charges.

Kocostar Slice Mask Sheet in Strawberry £5

This was a cute addition to the box and something a little different than the usual face mask! Made up of 12 ‘slices’ of strawberry this was a moisturising face mask with the idea being you can place the slices on areas you need to target the most. I thought this was such a fun idea and I really liked it. It smelled really nice and looked really cute!

Jecca Blac Glowdrops in Rose Pearl £16

The stand out product from this box is the Jecca Blac highlighting primer. At first glance this looked so pigmented and I was worried I’d look like I fell in some glitter ! However it blends out really nicely and works just as well under makeup as it does on bare skin. You just apply to the whole face, you don’t need a lot, and then put on your foundation and usual makeup. You can also apply and just blend over bare skin and it gives a nice sheen. There are also suggestions of using it on top of your makeup to give a highlight. I really like products where you can get multiple uses as it just feels like better value.

Naobay Orange Juice Handcream £11.50

This is a really lovely handcream with Shea butter and blends Orange Juice, Chamomile and Aloe Vera. I’ve used this everyday since I got it, I’m definitely moisturising my hands more often due to Covid and all the hand washing / antibacterial gels we are now using so this was a great item for me to receive.

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara Deluxe Mini £9.50

This is the replacement item for the Palm Balm which was last months sneek peek. I know lots of people aren’t fans of Eyeko mascara but I really like this waterproof formula. It’s been great for the warmer weather for avoiding that panda eye!

I’m glad in the end that my box arrived and I’m just hoping it’s not going to be an ongoing issue that items are missing or arriving so late. Once again even with the item change it was great value for money and everything was an item I would use so I was pleased with that.

The August edition of Glossybox UK has now sold out so if you sign up now you’d be getting the September box. I’m looking forward to August as it’s a birthday theme and includes an item from the new Glossybox skincare range as well as a Huda Beauty lipstick.

Note: at the time of writing I have received an email stating that my August box will be dispatched late and I should expect it not to arrive before 17th August. Not happy about this but will update you on my August review as to whether the box arrives as described…..

Lookfantastic July 2020

This months Lookfantastic box arrived super speedily and is another fab box with lots of beauty goodies! I’m still fairly new to this box , this one will be my third, but I am really enjoying them so far. Mostly they tend to be skincare focused but this time we have a few makeup treats too.

Sleek Matte Me (Shade Bittersweet) – worth £4.99

First is a Sleek Matte Me liquid lipstick, which has a lovely silky texture when you apply. Really love the colour which I’d describe as a russet red and it doesn’t give you that dry feeling on your lips which some matte lipsticks do. I really love matte formulas so it’s perfect for me!

Thisworks Morning Expert Hyaluronic Serum (10ml) – worth £12.33

This is a serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, to reduce dehydration and make your skin will look brighter. I’ve not tried this before but have noticed a difference to the texture of my skin since introducing serums so I have high hopes for this! It’s lovely and light and doesn’t have any distinctive smell so hoping it works well for me!

So Eco Blush Brush – worth £7.50

I’ve been building up some better quality brushes for my makeup and I was really pleased to get this blush brush! It’s made from sustainable materials, cruelty-free and vegan. I’ve only used with powder blush so far but I think you could use it with a cream blush to blend out and give a nice glow. I love getting things like this in beauty boxes as it helps kit me out!

MONUspa Rose & Lemon Enriched Body Cream (100ml) – £16.65

This one isn’t for me I’m afraid! Rose is one of those scents that I think you either love or hate and I’m in the hate category! Although it’s a lovely light cream it is really heavily scented and just not something I’d use. It’s packed with lots of vitamins and essential oils to help with dryness so if you like rose scents maybe this ones for you.

Myvitamins Beauty Sleep (30 capsules) – worth £7.50/£8.50

I definitely believe in using vitamin supplements to support your diet, and these Myvitamins capsules are essentially a multivitamin. These are meant to be taken just before bed and has natural herbs, lemon balm, and chamomile to promote better sleep. Definitely interested to see if these help with my sleeping patterns as I’ve struggled a bit during lockdown with sleep. If you are thinking of taking any supplements like these always check with a Dr or pharmacist in case you need to be aware of any interactions with other medications.

Mádara Regenerating Night Cream (25ml) – worth £17

I really love this Night Cream, it’s a rich formula perfect for getting your skin feeling really fresh the next morning. It helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and aims to make your skin brighter and more youthful. Definitely want some of that!

Lookfantastic is a monthly box available on lots of different subscription plans which you can see here. I’ve not committed to a full plan just yet and am on the 1 monthly rolling subscription which is a great option if you just want to trial out a few boxes before signing up to a longer commitment. There are 1, 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions and it’s a little cheaper the longer the subscription you take out. My box cost £15 but the product value this month was £65.97 so really great value and aside from the body cream all products I will use.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this months box and if you’ve tried any of the products before?

Look Fantastic May 2020

My first Lookfantastic box arrived in May, with six treats to try out. Lookfantastic ships every month and I’m told it is usually skincare focused which is great for trying out new brands. I’ve got to admit I bought this really for the Avant moisturiser which I’ve had before in another beauty box. It’s really good value at £15 per month (there are lots of plans available to make it slightly cheaper per month if you wanted to)

Magnitone Cloth £10

First up is this Magnitone cloth which is so soft and is designed to remove makeup with just water. I’ve seen a few of these around and not got around to trying one so I was really pleased to get one in here! It really does get makeup off with only water and they wash really nice afterward in the machine. Definitely will be repurchasing some more to use everyday.

DR Lipp Moisturising Lip Tint in Sweet Potato £3

This super cute mini lip tint is really a balm, perfect for dry or chapped lips. I personally didn’t see much in the way of a tint but it was nice for hydrating and moisturising. I used this up pretty quickly as it was very small but it was a really nice product.

Eyeko Brow Gel Mini £10

This was a surprise favourite for me in this box! I’m not a massive fan of brow gel and usually only use it when I’m going out out to keep everything in place. This has a great tint to the formula, a nice brown hint not too dark and doesn’t give you any flakiness or stiffness. This is definitely been repurchased by me as it just adds some definition to your brows with minimal effort. The full size of this is £18.

Avant Hyaluronic Acid Resurfacing Duo Moisturiser £100

The star product of the box and worth £100! This Avant Hyaluronic acid Moisturiser is a fave of mine. It’s a really rich formula and it works to brighten and create a more youthful complexion. I got this in another beauty box and it was my primary reason for purchasing this one, it’s such a good cream and works for sensitive skin .

Korres Hydra-biome Probiotic Facemask £9.40

I hadn’t heard of this brand before and was interested to try this face mask which uses Greek yoghurt and probiotics. It’s a really thick texture and I used it after being out in the sun to cool and hydrate my skin. It left my skin feeling so smooth and soft and I would definitely recommend for a pampering.

Balance Me Hyaluronic Plumping Mist £10

This is the one product that I haven’t used a great deal. It’s a facial mist designed to replace the toner in your skincare routine or can be used to refresh yourself face throughout the day. I found this was too much for my skin and caused some breakouts when I tried it so it’s not for me unfortunately. It’s a lovely light mist and might work better for other skin types.

In total the box contents were £142.40! £100 of that is the value of the Avant cream. Making it really good value and some fab products to explore for your skin. To find out more about Lookfantastic just visit their webpage to explore the different plans available for their beauty box.

Would love to hear in the comments if you’ve tried any of these products and what you thought of them.

Wild thing! Glossybox May 2020

If like me you’ve been sucked into the Tiger King docuseries on Netflix you’ll know that this beauty box could have been designed with Carole Baskin in mind! There’s been lots of change during the past 7 weeks but I’m so thankful that some of the little things that can brighten your day have been able to continue like Glossybox. For May their theme is exploring your wild side, with two special edition boxes in Leopard and Zebra print and a range of makeup, haircare and skincare to try out!

If you don’t know about Glossybox, it’s a beauty box subscription where you are sent 5 items each month. You can subscribe for various amounts of time or purchase a one-off box.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans or one off boxes.

Stargazer Glitter Eye Pencil RRP £2

First up was the Stargazer Glitter eyeliner pencil. The colour I was sent was violet which is a really bold colour with a bit of glitter scattered in. I really wasn’t sure about this as it felt a bit like something I would have tried when I was about 12. However! I did line my eyes with it and completely changed my mind, it was a lovely colour, not as bold when applied, but blends out nicely and I think with the right eyeshadow will look really nice. I’ve also seen a few people applying theirs over black eyeliner for a subtle glitter look and I do think that’s something I will try.

Vitamasques Bamboo Charcoal sheet mask RRP £3.99

So in a change to the advertised product, we were meant to get an OhK! Printed mask,my box contained a Vitamasques Bamboo Charcoal Sheet Mask. I’m guessing this might have something to do with the current pandemic situation and to be honest I don’t mind. The mask contains a detoxifying and pore tightening action to banish breakouts and eliminate excess oils according to their website.

It Is designed for stressed out skin and, lets face it, I think we’ve all experienced some stress the past 7 weeks!

I used this at the weekend and I really enjoyed it. I left it on for the full 20 mins (recommended between 10 and 20 mins to leave on) and my skin felt amazing. Usually when I use face masks like these I feel like the serum it’s coated in is dripping all over and this wasn’t , to me it was almost a gel style which meant it wasn’t sliding off all the time. Would definitely purchase this again as I think for £3.99 it’s a bargain.

Mudmasky Hair Mask, Scalp treatment and Miracle Shampoo RRP £21

Next is the Mudmasky Hair mask, Scalp treatment and Miracle Shampoo to help with dry, damaged and frizzy hair. Let’s see I check all of the above ! And given that my hair hasn’t seen a hairdresser since February, I was due an appointment the day of lockdown, I was excited to try this.

I am pleased to say it doesn’t disappoint. You apply like regular shampoo, leather and then leave it on your scalp for a minute before rinsing. It contains Moroccan argan oil, Moroccan mud and claims to strengthen and repair your hair. I could really feel a difference after the treatment and as someone with a sensitive scalp due to my psoriasis I was really pleased with this product.

Steve Laurent Eyeshadow Palette RRP £31

The star product of this box, which was the sneak peek last month, is the Steve Laurent eyeshadow palette which came in a cute leopard print box. The palette is a really good mix of neutrals with nine shades in all. With mattes and shimmers I think there will be a lot of use for me from this as you can do everything from day to night looks. The shades blend out nicely and the pigment is good.

The last item is an EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint. We did get a lip balm in last months box but I really don’t mind getting another one as I use these a lot! This smells amazing and the mint is not overpowering. A nice basic to have and use regularly.

The contents of this months box are worth £64.49 , so definitely worth the monthly subscription fee! So lastly on to the sneak peek for the June box! This was pretty exciting as it’s a Huda Beauty dual ended eyeliner with a liquid liner on one side and pencil on the other. This is worth £18 and fits with the theme of beauty beyond borders so an international beauty theme. Very much looking forward to this !

June’s sneak peek

If you want to sign up to Glossybox you can visit their website http://www.glossybox.co.uk or you can use my referral link here and receive a discount of 20% on your first box.

Hope you enjoyed reading about this months box, would love to know if you’ve tried any of the products from this month !

Glossybox March 2020 All eyes on me

The latest Glossybox has arrived and it’s a goodie with some gorgeous makeup treats to see me through the month. If you don’t know about Glossybox, it’s a beauty box subscription where you are sent 5 items each month. You can subscribe for various amounts of time or purchase a one-off box.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans

First up it’s an MCo Beauty Long Lasting lipstick, we’ve had MCo products before and I really like them as a brand. The lipstick is a nude shade called Flawless with a matte finish. It’s definitely a shade I would choose and has a non drying feel which is rare for a matte formula. It’s not particularly long lasting in my opinion but I generally find that traditional lipstick never lasts as long as liquid mattes. This is worth £15 and I’d definitely purchase it again because of the colour.

Next we have Ciate London’s Stamp and Drag eyeliner. This is actually one of my favourite products from Ciate and I’ve purchased this before. The idea with this is you get a wing shaped stamp to help you with doing a perfect flick and then you can frame round the eyes with the pointed felt tip style. I’ve never been great with eyeliner and this has helped me massively. It’s really long lasting and stays Jet Black all day. This is £15 to purchase from Ciates website.

Who doesn’t love a good highlighter ? The next product is a Sleek highlighter palette in Copperplate. A beautiful mix of colours that blend nicely and aren’t heavy when applied. It’s an all powder palette and I think this will be gorgeous for spring and summer when the nicer weather starts. This is £9.99 RRP.

Also included is an Eyeko mascara which comes in a fun tube like toothpaste! The curved brush is designed to give volume and I’m looking forward to seeing what this formula is like. My go to has been the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara so I’m interested to try something new. This is a deluxe mini size and is worth £10.

Lastly a toothpaste from Whiteglo. This is probably my least favourite product in the box, it’s not particularly exciting to get a toothpaste but it will be used and as it’s mini sized is perfect for my washbag while travelling. This is again a deluxe mini and worth £1.05

In total this months box has a value of £51.04 so great value, and all of the products are something I will use. Despite the toothpaste not being my favourite item to receive in a beauty box!

The April sneak peek is an Avant Exfoliating Cleanser which I am really looking forward to. We’ve had quite a few Avant products, including primer and moisturiser in Glossybox over the past year and they are a really great skincare brand.

Glossybox February 2020

So this months box is all about lurrrve 💓 Specifically Love Crosses Borders which I really liked the idea of, with products from all around the world. Also this box was the same for subscribers in different countries so I believe Germany and the Netherlands subscribers received the same items.

The sneak peek in January’s box was of Figs and Rouges Wonder Love Charm Glow Elixir. A super shimmery product designed to give you a glow like no other! This can be applied under makeup or can be worn on natural skin for a brightening effect.

Worth £35, its packed with A, C and E vitamins, hyaluronic acid, minerals, rose water and rose quartz, hydrates your skin and gives you a glow. This is lovely mixed with your usual foundation for a subtle glow or dotted on as a highlighter after you’ve applied foundation.

There’s a lip focus in this Valentines box with a mask all the way from Korea. Korean skincare has been such a huge trend over the last year or so and I love all the different kinds of masks you get to try with Glossybox so this is a winner for me. Plus you have to keep it on for 15-20 mins which means I won’t be talking so it makes a win for Phil too! This did make my lips feel super hydrated, given it’s still cold and wintery it’s a welcome treat! This is a deluxe mini and is worth £4.25, if you buy the full size product you receive 6 masks in the box.

Next up is a duo of lip liners from American brand Saint Luxe in pink and red shades. They are billed as a luxury brand which creates long lasting, cruelty free products. The red is a strong colour and I have a few lipsticks and glosses that will work with it. The pink is a lovely soft colour which pairs perfectly with the next product in the box. These are £23 for the duo available from saint luxe beauty.com

Another American product included from Floss Beauty is this dusky pink lip gloss. It’s a semi sheer formula and mine pairs perfectly with the pink liner in my box. The packaging is really cute too and it has a pretty long lasting effect. This is £12.30 to purchase from floss it up.com

Final product in this months box is the Glossybox lip liner brush. I’ve been slowly replacing some of my older brushes for nice new ones so this is perfect for me! This is £5.10 to purchase from the Glossybox website.

There was a nice surprise for regular subscribers in the form of a perfume sample from Glossier. I really liked this, it’s very fresh and light perfect for an everyday perfume. It’s out of stock at the time of writing this and I’m keeping an eye on when it’s restocked!

In total the box is worth an amazing £79.65 making it fantastic value for money.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans

Would love to know if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think!

ASOS x Pixi Beauty

I got this beauty box a while back and purposely waited to post a review as I really wanted to give the products a good try and see what difference they made to my skin.

Pixi is a London brand most famous for their skincare and face tonics, the Glow tonic being the most familiar.

The full contents of the box

There are four full size products and one sample size.

The sample size is the most well known and iconic product from the Pixi Range their Glow Tonic. This is the smallest item in the box and I’ve actually used this before. It’s perfect for popping in my travel bag. The tonic itself is amazing for blemish prone skin. I don’t use this everyday as I find it too drying for my skin type but if I feel like my skin has turned oily or I’ve got any spots it’s brilliant for getting them in check sharpish! The recommendation when using Glow Tonic is to use once a day, either morning or night to give your skin a deeper cleanse. The RRP for this size is £5

The Rose tonic is a full size product and my worry with this was that it would be too perfumed. It manages to get a perfect balance of rose scent without being overpowering which I love. It contains hydrosol and can be used morning and night for a calming skin effect. This has now become my everyday toner as it’s lovely and light. The usual price for the full size of this is £18 for the 250ml bottle.

The Rose Flash Balm again not overpowering in scent and a really lovely moisturiser for dry skin. This is designed to be used as either a mask treatment or a primer to brighten up your skin. I’ve really liked using it on no makeup days as a primer, it’s really made my skin feel great and definitely helped throughout the winter months! RRP for this is £6

Next is the Pixi lip lift max in sheer Rose , I really liked this colour and it had a nice non sticky texture. As with most gloss products it’s not particularly long lasting but I would definitely repurchase in another shade.

It has a peptide lip plumper, which you can feel working on your lips from the second you put it on! It’s a really nice formula that doesn’t dry out your lips. The RRP for this product is £12

The last product is the Endless Silky Eye one. It a Kohl type eye pencil there’s not much to say about this, it’s a basic for your makeup bag, applies nicely and lasts well. It’s long wear and has a creamy texture which glides on and smudges nicely if you like that look. This is priced at £6

The box was £15 this time from ASOS but still incredible value as the total value of the products was £47 !
